Course outline and Holiday Bonus!
1. Where will the journey of “Chords Made Simple” Module 1 take you?
Whether you know absolutely nothing about finding chords or just need to “brush up” on what you may have known at one time, you will be able to apply what you learn in Module 1 to playing hundreds of simple songs (starting in the key of C), using chords in the right hand and a simple bass in the left hand. This will be the foundation upon which you will build in Module 2.
I will take you step by step...building block by building block, in learning:
- How to find major and minor chords.
- How to play chords more easily by helping you understand inversions.
- How to play five finger patterns and why you need to know them.
- How to play simple chord sheets using the I, IV, V and V7 chord patterns.
I am inviting you right into my studio as if you were there with my students and me! You will be able to join in on actual students’ lessons exactly as they happened in real time…no prior practice, no “several takes”. The lessons are all real time footage. Of course, I edited the length for time’s sake but we did not rehearse and then take the perfect shot. You will feel VERY comfortable with mistakes and all!

Module 2, Coming in early 2018 we'll go more in depth on how to play major and minor chords together in patterns, transposing (playing in different keys), inversions, symbols like C2, Csus, Cmaj7, etc., how to vary the sound, and even how to add back the melody!
